Career exploration services provided:
A counselor will take you through a series of career exploration steps:
Self-Assessment: Interests, Values & Strengths (Series I)
Following our initial consultation, you will complete a series of exercises to help you discover your intrinsic motivated interests, personal and professional values, and your key strengths. Once your self-assessment is complete, the counselor will review it and begin the process of clarifying your needs and wants, review your short and long-term goals, and the next steps necessary in identifying satisfying career options for you.
Career Research & Exploration (Series II)
Once you have found fulfilling career options, then you will need to research those options both online and in person. You will be guided through a series of strategies designed to help you gain a realistic and in-depth perspective of each career that interests you with emphasis on both the current and future job market analysis and corporate culture analysis. At the end of this series, you will have a clearer vision of the best career choice for you based on who you are, what you have to offer, and what the job market has to offer. You will need to have a fairly clear idea of potentially satisfying and realistic career options prior to the Career Research & Exploration Session.
Company & Salary Research (Series III)
If you have a clear vision of your career direction, but would like assistance in learning how to effectively identify and research potential employers to determine which ones may be the best fit for you, then this session is for you. If you don’t have the time or simply would like someone else to do the work for you, a counselor would be happy to provide targeted Company & Salary Research for you. You will need to know which career option is most realistic and satisfying for you prior to the Company & Salary Research Session.
